Surface Design series
While creating intricate pattern motifs, each animal-inspired composition features a bold visual style for maximum impact.
When imagining a person's virtual likeness, subtle details such as texture and lighting provide compositional appeal.
2d / 3d sequences
When incorporating hand-drawn and digitally sculpted elements into my animations, the work spans frame-by-frame and sequential renders for an expressive style.
Additionally, my animations appear at a gallery on youtube (view entire clips)
Technological advances allow artists to utilize a range of previously unimaginable materials for creative exploration.
Rapa Nui monoliths
While collaborating with archaeologists to visually chronicle the moai statues, my role as the project's graphic artist and photographer afforded a rare glimpse into the most remote region on-earth.
Native American designs
During my time spent in Los Angeles, weekends were reserved to deviate from Bureau of Land Management maps to discover artwork from the very first Californians.
The intricate radial symmetry in my spiral forms received acclaim from art and science collaborations--the pieces were featured in a "cosmos" exhibition at the NY Hall of Science to celebrate our universe.
One of my most popular series to date, the pieces have been shown at the Mistlin Gallery, Carnegie Art Center and Multicultural Art Center in Merced--suggesting the figures' beauty and allure.
